The Korean seriesSquid Game, topped the global search platforms, days after the first season was released on the American network, Netflix.

And soon the Korean drama proved its worth, and the producing company announced a second season to work shortly after its release

According to a report published by the bloomberg newspaper, the Korean series Squid Game topped the first place in the United States of America as a dramatic work effect that was watched during the past few days.

The shares of the company that produced the series increased by more than 70% during the past trading sessions, after the series’ viewership rates increased.




The idea of the series is to transform famous children's games before the digital age, such as (red light.. green light) into bloody challenges for survival.

The game (red light.. green light), in which players stop and go at someone's command and then take turns that role, is one of 6 children's combat games included in the exciting "squid game", which is named after a South Korean version of the chase game that spread in the seventies and eighties that uses a board drawn in the dirt.

In (Red Light.. Green Light), the first game of the series, players are exposed to fire if they do not stop when they hear the word red light.

Squid is the last of the series' six games, in which the 456 cash-strapped contestants, ranging from a North Korean defector to a fund manager accused of embezzlement, compete for a prize of 45.6 billion won ($38.66 million).

The series has spread like wildfire since its launch on September 17, becoming the first Korean series to top Netflix in the United States.

Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said Monday that it could become the platform's most popular series globally.

"We were not expecting such global popularity," he added.

The squid's fame has moved to the digital world, where people move and communicate in virtual environments.
